Great people, a fantastic place, and incredible animals! It was an absolutely great experience during our big game hunting trip in Zimbabwe. We worked hard and successfully tracked down a very old elephant bull. Throughout our safari adventures, we had the opportunity to see 90 bulls and 265 cows and calves, which made our time with Richard Cooke Safaris truly unforgettable!

What an amazing safari adventure! This incredible experience was a gift for my grandson (19 YRS OLD), who participated in big game hunting and successfully harvested a great cape buffalo and a really nice impala. It has been a lifelong dream of mine to come to Africa and experience big game hunting!! Without a doubt, this trip exceeded every expectation I could have had. I brought my son and my wife, and we had a blast. Dean Peel, our PH, was amazing. I got a cape buffalo, and my son harvested a sable along with a variety of other plains game during our hunting Zimbabwe adventure. This was my wife's safari adventure, her third and first experience with big game hunting. We've had an outstanding time here in Matetsi Unit 4. Anne has successfully hunted two big bull giraffes, a zebra, five impala, a 54" kudu, a very nice waterbuck, an incredible lion, and a sable over 40". As far as the PH, Richard Cooke, is concerned, this is my 8th safari, and I've always had good PHs. However, Richard Cooke safaris stand out as he is one of the hardest working professionals I've known. The trackers, kitchen staff, and laundry staff are top-notch. We're also spending five nights in Victoria Falls, arranged by Richard's lovely wife, Belinda. We'll definitely be back for more hunting Zimbabwe experiences!
From the moment we stepped foot in Zimbabwe for our hunting adventure, we were greeted as if we were old friends. The people are truly wonderful. We were introduced to our driver and our PH, Dean Peel. Our driver brought us cold drinks and snacks, making our experience even more enjoyable. Dean was very informative and polite. I must say that Richard Cooke and his wife Belinda really went all out to make us comfortable during our safari adventures. They surrounded us with only the BEST people possible. We will definitely be back and will only book our future hunts with Richard Cooke Safaris!
